John Pert’s experience working with children began as a teenager while working at a variety of YMCA-YWCA’s in Ontario and British Columbia.

In 1997 John earned his Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa and has been teaching since 1998. John often blends magic with education to create an interesting learning environment.

His interest in magic began as a teenager while working for the Brockville YMCA-YWCA . Since then, John has been thrilling children with his magic throughout Ontario, but primarily performs in the Ottawa area where he resides.

John is passionate about magic and is always looking for new and creative ideas. He has attended a variety of conventions and is a member of the Canadian Association of Magicians, The International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Ottawa Society of Magicians. John has been recognized as “Magician of the Year” by the Ottawa Society of Magician for his commitment to magic.

John primarily performs for children and family audiences, but also performs at adult events.
